Marine Logistics – Refund Policy
This Refund Policy forms part of Marine Logistics’ Terms & Conditions. By requesting a quote, making a booking, paying a deposit, or engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy in full.
1. General Policy – No Automatic Refunds
Marine Logistics provides custom transport services based on customer-supplied information, route planning, permits, scheduling, and third-party contractor availability.
For this reason:

Refunds are not automatic

Change of mind refunds are not offered

All refund requests are assessed solely at our discretion
2. Deposits

All deposits are non-refundable

Deposits cover administrative costs, scheduling, route planning, permits, and allocation of transport resources

Deposits secure a transport window and remove availability from other customers
No exceptions apply, including:

Change of mind
-
Sale of the boat
-
Delays by the seller or buyer
-
Weather conditions
-
Financial hardship
3. Cancellations by the Customer
Cancellation More Than 7 Days Before Scheduled Transport

Deposit remains non-refundable
-
Any additional payments may be partially refunded at our discretion, less incurred costs
Cancellation Within 7 Days of Scheduled Transport

No refunds will be issued

This includes cancellations caused by:

Access issues
-
Incorrect boat dimensions or weight

Mechanical or structural issues
-
Unavailability of the boat
-
Failure to prepare the vessel

4. Incorrect Information Supplied
Customers are responsible for ensuring all information provided is accurate and complete, including:

Length, width, height, and weight

Boat condition
-
Pickup and delivery access
-
Cradle or trailer requirements
If incorrect information results in:

Additional costs
-
Delays
-
Cancellation
👉 No refund will be issued, and additional charges may apply.
5. Delays Outside Our Control
No refunds will be issued for delays caused by:

Weather or sea conditions
-
Road closures or permit delays
-
Mechanical breakdowns
-
Acts of God
-
Government or regulatory action
-
Third-party subcontractors
-
Port, marina, or yard delays
6. Service Commencement
Once transport has commenced (including loading, mobilisation, or vehicle dispatch):

No refunds will be issued under any circumstances
7. Partial Refunds (Discretionary Only)
Any partial refund:

Is offered entirely at Marine Logistics’ discretion

May be subject to administrative, banking, and third-party cost deductions
-
Does not create a precedent for future refunds
8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Customers agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes without first contacting Marine Logistics.
Unauthorised chargebacks may result in:

Debt recovery action
-
Recovery of administrative, legal, and collection costs
-
Suspension of services
9. Refund Processing (If Approved)
If a refund is approved:

Refunds are processed to the original payment method
-
Processing time is 5–10 business days
-
Bank and transaction fees are non-refundable
10. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
However, customers acknowledge that:

Delays, cancellations, or additional costs caused by external factors or incorrect information do not constitute a major failure

Custom transport services are not subject to “change of mind” refunds

Marine Logistics reserves the right to amend this Refund Policy at any time without notice. The version published on our website at the time of booking applies.
